Retail Merchandiser
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Retail Merchandiser provides quality visual merchandising for Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC) retail stores. Reports all merchandising concerns to the Retail Manager and Buyers. Provides guest service and cashier duties as needed in the gift shops. FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by PRC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintains quality visual merchandising in all retail stores. • Reviews merchandise sell through and makes informed decisions pertaining to product placement and visual display. • Ensures appropriate fixtures are used when merchandising for best visual effect and Team Member and guest safety. • Is familiar with all new merchandise and labels carried in gift shops. • Re-stocks gift shops as necessary and reviews placement of product to maximize sales. • Keeps Management and Buyers informed of all merchandising concerns. This includes guest feedback and requests; fast or slow sellers; • Reviews inventory reports to ensure consistent flow of merchandise. • Ensures that Pechanga business is carried out economically, efficiently, effectively and in accordance with Company policies with the purpose of ensuring accountability • Ensures that all billable services are properly reported and accurately reflected in the Stratton Warren and financial statements. • Ensures that adjustments are appropriate and approved. • Ensures that the recording and reporting of all Pechanga assets is carried out in accordance with current SOP’s and Policies and Procedures; compliance with all internal controls and outside Agency Regulations are maintained and internal controls and procedures are efficient, effective and economical. • Performs cash, comp and credit card sales transactions for Gift Shop. • Responsible for safeguarding and balancing bank and daily revenue generated by gift Shop. • Assists guests with product selection. • Protect the assets of PRC by knowing product lines, keeping track of merchandise, accurate accounting procedures and guest service. • Other duties as assigned. ACCOUNTABILITY: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC. ________________________________________ QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES ________________________________________ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required to successfully perform this job. Minimum 6 (six) months to 1 (one) year of cash handling experience in a Retail or Guest Service environment. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position also requires the ability to work with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license. SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Ability to multi task and work in a high paced environment. • Ability to work under stressful situations. • Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
