Access Control Technician
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Access Control Technician will assist in maintaining all facility locks, doors, key control, and card access systems to protect the assets and Team Members of Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC). FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by PRC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Programming Intelligent controllers and assigning IP addresses. • Building and pre wiring Access Control Panels/Power Supplies. • Consist of preparing the Door and Frames to accept the appropriate Electrified Hardware and Access Control Cabling. • Proper installation of the cabling to the Electrified hardware. • Running Access Control Cabling to our Access Control Panels using the correct pathways to ensure building codes are followed and terminating the cable to the appropriate addresses, inputs, and outputs. • Knowledge with the following hardware but not limited to, Maglocks, Electrified strikes, Electrified Cylindrical Locks, QEL Conversions, Electrified Trims, Electrified Mortise Locks, Electrified Hinges, Armored Loops, Door Position sensors, All types of Card readers, Dual Access areas, Panic buttons, Horns/Sirens, and etc. • Complete knowledge of how an Access Control system works and all the necessary components of it. • Complete knowledge of Access Control software ACM Avigiloin. • Complete knowledge of Access Control programming such as the following but not limited to, Access Groups, Roles, Access Codes, identities, Badging, Controller Installation, Subpanel Installation, Outputs, Inputs, Readers, Schedules, Door Configurations, Global Linkages, Global Actions, Panic Buttons, Override time zones, email alerts, and dual access locations, and etc. • The mounting and installation of the Access control panel to the appropriate fire rated plywood and wall. • Ability to properly troubleshoot all Electrified hardware, Access Control software, Panic Buttons, and etc. • Providing Badge Transaction request in a timely manner for the approved designees, for any ongoing investigations regarding team members. • Ability to Properly mount and install electronic key control cabinets. • Ability to properly install all needed cabling that will be requested with the electronic Key Control Cabinet which may include, Access control cabling for Card readers and dry contacts, card readers that connect directly to Key Control Cabinet, and or a dual access for high security key sets. • Ability to provide Key Reports in a timely manner for the approved designees for keys that have been removed by and returned by. • Ability to properly trouble shoot Electronic Key control cabinets such as but not limited to, Circuit boards, Access Control, Card Reader, Electrified hardware, Latches, CPU Boards, Power Management boards, Power supplies, and etc. • Retro Fitting doors to fit the appropriate lodging system hardware which includes but not limited to, stand-alone battery-operated mortise locks, Stand-alone Battery-operated cylindrical locks, and etc. • Ability to install Multi Housing Solutions which include but not limited to, RFID Readers, Electrified Hardware, Running the appropriate Cabling using the correct pathways, installation of the Multi Housing Power supply, the correct installation of the wiring to the power supply, card reader, and electrified door hardware, and etc. • Ability to provide Lock interrogations in a timely manner for approved designees for guest/team member related issues, thefts, and etc. • Ability to enable, remove, and troubleshoot locks connected through online Messenger hubs that provide connection to back to work stations. • Ability to access guest rooms when no key access is available, using the appropriate tools. • Ability to troubleshoot numerous Gate operators such as, Lift Masters, Door Kings, and Magnetic. • Ability to replace gate arms and replace needed hardware on gate operators. • Ability to install RFID Barcode Readers to work alongside the gate operator which will connect back to our access control system. • Ability to Troubleshoot RFID readers connected to Gate operators. • Knowledge of Master Keying systems. • Ability to cut and duplicate many styles of keys. • Knowledge of key cutting machines and duplicating key machines. • Ability of Key Impressioning. • Knowledge of Cross Keying. • Ability to Pick numerous of style locks and tumblers. • Complete knowledge of commercial and residential mechanical locks, bolts, latches, strikes, panic bars, closers, mortise locks, and etc. • Other duties assigned ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC. QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least 3-5 years’ experience is required to successfully perform this job. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to work with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license. • CA Drivers License. SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Efficient in reading and writing English. • Knowledge of industry state of the art concepts and hardware. • Knowledge and experience with all related hand and power tools. • Fluent in Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Access Control Programs, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and etc. • Must be capable of interacting with the general public in a highly professional manner. • Must be capable of interacting with numerous Departments in a highly professional manner. • Ability to work in a high stress environment. • Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays. • Must be available to work On Call. • Must be a multitasker and highly organized. • Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful. • Knowledge of Medeco E-Cliq, Medeco XT is preferred. • Knowledge of the Medeco E-Cliq software and infrastructure. • Knowledge of installing wall programmers for Electronic Keys. • Knowledge of maintaining and installing Electronic Cylinders.
