Digital Marketing Specialist
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting with the overall execution and maintenance of Pechanga Resort Casino’s (PRC) digital marketing efforts including but not limited to: the coordination, development, implementation, maintenance, and reporting of digital advertising efforts through paid and owned media, Search Engine Marketing (SEM,) Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and display advertising. This position works as part of a team under the direction of the Digital Marketing Manager to deliver clear, relevant, captivating and engaging content and campaigns to boost brand awareness and interest in PRC. The position requires a brand-focused, creative individual with impeccable writing skills, flexibility in schedule, a mixed technical skill set, who will quickly master the Pechanga brand voice. The specialist must be highly organized, responsive, a saavy communicator, and well-versed in digital marketing and communication best practices. The candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines. Self-starters in this field should apply. FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Work with internal stakeholders and external agency partners in the execution of all paid digital media efforts including but not limited to: social media, SEO, SEM, website optimization, and any other form of digital marketing medium. • Collaborate with departments, management and company leadership to consistently ascertain, extract and sift through the noise to find only the most pertinent information for use in digital and brand campaigns. • Quickly learn and adapt brand voice and tone when developing copy. • Collaborate with creative teams on the ideation, development, and creation of ads. • Coordinate production of assets and content when required. • Develop and implement tracking links. • Monitor all aspects of campaign configuration, launch, and on-going optimization including: ad copywriting, database optimization, budget management, and ad trafficking. • Identify ad optimization opportunities through A/B testing. • Maintain deliverables calendar to ensure timely deployment and receipt of all collateral pieces for agency partners and other scheduling. • Contribute ideas and programs to the department’s advertorial campaign calendar. • Research and maintain progressive knowledge of emerging trends in social media, SEO, and digital adversing as well as industry best practices. • Manage Google AdWords and ingest keyword recommendations. • Allocate tasks to the web implementation team within SEO tool. • Make recommendations of suggested changes on web, social and other online areas for greatest impact to search rankings and searchability for all areas of the resort/casino. • Regularly ascertain the effectiveness of PRC’s digital ads and SEO efforts and providing monthly progress reports, meaningful analytics. • Possess the skills, knowledge, and ability to work within social media when needed. • Performs other job related duties as assigned and always works toward protecting the assets of PRC. ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC. ________________________________________ QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES ________________________________________ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree required. Associates degree acceptable with valid work experience. At least three years of agency or in-house experience within the digital advertising field required. One year of casino, resort, hospitality or tourism experience highly desirable. Experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires an above average ability to read and comprehend simple, and increasingly complex instructions, short correspondence, memos and more. This position also requires the candidate to write concise and accurate correspondence to guests, while adhering to PRC brand standards. Must be able to express themselves and their thoughts and ideas clearly and professionally. Must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees of the organization is required as well. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license. SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Daily tracking of digital marketing calendars, task coordination, and campaign implementation, including: digital ads, SEO changes and updates and other tracking as requested by manager or director. • Ability to measure and report the success of Digital Marketing strategies alongside the Digital Marketing Manager. • The ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and within tight timelines, including the ability to prioritize among multiple, urgent and/or simultaneous projects. • Excellent internal client management and interpersonal relationship skills. • Must be a naturally curious individual who is not afraid to find out answers, figure out how to get them and how to position that information to the public while fitting it into the brand’s voice and image. • Must be comfortable in and have deep knowledge of various forms and practices within social media information dissemination and how each operates. • Attention to detail and desire to consistently produce high quality work, maintaining candidate’s own standards as well as standards of the department and PRC. • An ability to develop and maintain professional, working relationships with cross functional departments and Team Members across the resort, as well as with external agency partners. • Ability to work within predetermined timelines, as well as outside of these, often needing to be OK with uncertainty. • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders during various segments, projects or all at the same time. • Must possess an innate understanding of discretion of information and assets. • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a collaborative setting. • Ability to work quickly and tune out distractions. • Some evening and weekend hours will be required. • Attends required department meetings. • Protects the brand integrity of Pechanga Resort Casino across all Digital mediums. • Must abide by company and departmental SOPs. • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment at a fun, teamwork-oriented company.
