Divisional Trainer, F&B
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Divisional Trainer, F&B, is responsible for facilitating a variety of training courses within the Food and Beverage Division, utilizing diverse instructional methods such as lectures, technology, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. The Trainer will strive to present course materials in a way that both educates and engages participants. This role is also responsible for overseeing the F&B Onboarding program, providing training, coaching, and development to all new Team Members during the F&B orientation sessions. FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Instructs and guides F&B Team Members in key concepts of the Food and Beverage industry, including Front of House, Culinary, Beverage, and Banquets & Catering operations and programs. • Conducts classroom and on-the-job training sessions utilizing the Adult Learning Model. • Ensures course learning outcomes are met for each session. • Evaluates student performance in alignment with assessment guidelines. • Obtains and maintains certifications required to teach classes (e.g., Food Handlers, Responsible Beverage Service), as requested by the Director of F&B. • Develops professional working relationships with all F&B department teams to effectively support training initiatives; collaborates closely with the F&B training team and Talent Development team. • Implements service standards in accordance with PRC F&B expectations. • Participates in program and division meetings and activities. • Stays up-to-date with current industry trends. • Performs other duties and projects as assigned. ACCOUNTABILITY: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Incumbent is responsible for protecting the assets of Pechanga Resort Casino and for maintaining and providing a positive and professional work environment. ________________________________________ QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES ________________________________________ EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: A Bachelors degree in related field and a minimum of (2) two years of training experience is required to successfully perform this job, experience in a similar capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of minimum requirements. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Food Handlers Certification • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license. • Ability to complete and maintain the California ABC responsible beverage service certification. SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Effective teaching and training skills. • Excellent verbal and communication skills. • Knowledge of current training curriculum. • Ability to work independently. • Knowledge and demonstration of leadership and management skills and techniques • Computer literate. • Must be effective in interpersonal skills, role model, highly motivated, and adaptive to change. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience in design, implementation and facilitation of training and educational programs for Food and Beverage development.
