Retail Attendant

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Retail Attendant provides customer service, assistance, and performs sales transactions for the Gift Shop.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to customer service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform cash, comp, and credit card sales transactions for Gift Shop.
• Responsible for safeguarding and balancing bank and daily revenue generated by Gift Shop.
• Assist customers with product selection.
• Clean and re stock Gift Shop during slow periods.
• Serve as information resource; display knowledge of current and upcoming events.
• Protect the assets of PRC by knowing product lines, keeping track of merchandise, adhering to accurate accounting procedures, and in providing customer service.
• Logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing when required to both Guests and Team Members at all levels.
• Comply with PRC and Department Policies and Procedures, Service Guarantees, and safety and emergency procedures.
• Ensure and make known that Pechanga business is carried out economically, efficiently, effectively and in accordance with Company policies with the purpose of ensuring accountability.
• Ensure that all billable services are properly reported and accurately reflected in Infor and on financial statements.
• Ensure that adjustments are appropriate and approved.
• Ensure that the recording and reporting of all Pechanga assets is carried out in accordance with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Policies and Procedures; compliance with all internal controls and outside agency regulations are maintained; and internal controls and procedures are efficient, effective, and economical.
• Other duties as assigned.


ACCOUNTABILITY: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Incumbent is responsible for protecting the assets of Pechanga Resort Casino and for maintaining and providing a positive and professional work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
________________________________________

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum one (1) year of cash handling experience in retail or customer service is required; cash register experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred to successfully perform this job.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos as well as the ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate and present product information to customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Strong communication skills verbally to provide clear direction to Guests and Team Members at all levels.
• Strong customer service skills and the will to assist Guests and Team Members.
• Ability to deal with and accept ever-changing information.
• Possess basic computer and keyboarding skills.
• Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast paced and culturally diverse casino environment.
• Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.
• Ability to remain calm during emergency or stressful situations.
• Must be willing to report any usual or unacceptable activity to management.
• Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful.
• Must have a pleasant personality and present a professional image when assisting guests.
• Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.
• Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and in regard to shifts, days off, and last minute changes.
