Nail Technician

GENERAL SUMMARY
Maintains and builds relationships with clients through appropriate communication and interaction. Under limited supervision provides guests with specified spa services in accordance with departmental operating standards.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet guests, review treatments, and clarify any questions.
• Responsible for cleaning, filing, trimming, shaping, and applying nail polish to a guest’s nails.
• Provides consultation, takes off polish, prepares nails, and applies fresh polish.
• Make recommendations as related to treatments or retail purchases.
• Provide services as detailed in the spa menu and maintain PRC’s treatment standards.
• Maintain work station and equipment in accordance with state guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize instruments and treatment areas.
• Notify supervisor(s) of any deficiencies in the equipment or work space.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all departments and Team Members.
• Other duties assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: One-year certificate from college or technical school; and one-year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred to successfully perform this job.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests, and the general public is required as well.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Valid California State Cosmetology license and/or State Manicurist license.
• Qualify to obtain class “H” gaming license.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Must be able to use a computer.
• Must be able to utilize common equipment used by Cosmetologists, Manicurists, or Hair Stylists.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Previous Health Spa experience or other related Guest Service experience preferred.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
