General Summary:
The Gas Station and Convenience Store (“Station”) are an integral part of the Pechanga Resort & Casino “hospitality experience”. The Station offers a wide range of products and services including convenience and grocery items, gasoline, car wash and quick service Mexican food. The Cashier is responsible for the successful operation of the day to day cashiering, stocking, cleaning and overall maintenance of the Convenience Store, Car Wash and Gas Pumps. Our Station operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Cashier shall provide each customer with a “first rate experience” comparable to the Four Diamond rating earned by our Resort & Casino. The Cashier must be a team player with a flexible schedule and be available to fill in for absent employees. This position requires working all shifts including nights and weekends. Further, the Cashier must be available by telephone should an emergency arise. This position is under general direction of the Gas Station Manager and Gas Station Assistant Manager with the primary function to manage the operations of the entire Station.

All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.

Job Overview:
• Carry on the daily operations of the Gas Station, Convenience Store, Car Wash and all of its property.
• Maintain, at all times, a courteous, tactful relationship with our customers.
• Maintain, at all times, a clean, well-lighted environment for our customers including the pump islands, car wash area, landscaping, driveways and parking lot, interior of building, floors, shelves, coolers, storage areas, eating areas and restrooms.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff.
• Monitor and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure that items are placed in optimal visual locations for fast turnover.
• Ensure all product deliveries are properly received, stocked and recorded into inventory.
• Learn Policies, Rules & Regulations and apply them using fairness and good judgment.
• Carry out verbal and written instructions from Management and follow-through in the completion of all assignments.
• Assist in the maintenance of the Service Station, Mini Mart and Car Wash.
• Restock and rotate stock as directed.
• Clean and sanitize rest areas and all other areas as directed.
• Identify problems and propose solutions to Management.
• Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by Manager or Manager’s designee.


Experience/Training/Education: A high school diploma or equivalent and experience in a hospitality or retail environment.

Communication Skills: This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and the ability to maintain a courteous and tactful relationship with customers and other staff.

Mathematical Skills: This position requires the ability to use a POS machine by touch and count money and change with high degree of accuracy and speed.
Reasoning Ability: This position requires a high degree of accuracy in all areas of job responsibilities.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Food Worker Certificate

Skills/Abilities:
• Basic computer literacy including use of computerized Gas Station software, Point Of Sale systems and inventory management software.
• Knowledge of equipment including telephone, credit card and ATM processors and cash register/POS systems.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills in relating with customers and staff.
