EVS Utility Lead

GENERAL SUMMARY
The EVS Utility Lead is responsible for maintaining all carpets, flooring, chairs, and card tables. Additionally, the Utility Lead is also responsible for the cleanness of all high area in which other EVS staff cannot reach. In the absence of the supervisor, the Utility Lead is also responsible for supervision of the Utility team.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Clean and shampoo all carpets.
• Check all machines to be sure they are working properly.
• Assist in stocking all incoming supplies.
• Maintain all flooring, carpet, and hard surfaces.
• Maintain all chairs to be cleaned and upholstered.
• Assists in overseeing duties of persons assigned to Utility Crew.
• Assists in scheduling area duties that need attention on a daily basis.
• Wipe down and clean all high areas other EVS staff is unable to complete.
• Clean all glass that other EVS staff is unable to complete.
• Vacuum all areas that other EVS staff is unable to reach or complete.
• Respond to all problem calls.
• Will perform preventative maintenance on all machines as required.
• Assist in training.
• Other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has supervisory responsibilities that include Team Member relations and corrective actions. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least two years’ experience is required/or three years’ experience is preferred to successfully perform this job.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Furthermore, this position also requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: This position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position also requires the ability to work with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Minimum of one-year carpet maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of carpeting and hard surfaces, technical training preferred.
• Some supervisory experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to use, distinguish and know the use of most maintenance tools.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Medium to heavy lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful.
• Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast paced and culturally diverse casino environment.
• Must have a pleasant personality and present a professional image when assisting players.
• Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.
• Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
