Facilities Shift Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Facilities Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance, repair, and operational tasks during assigned shifts to ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of the casino’s physical infrastructure. This role ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards while delivering exceptional support to all departments and guests. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solutions-oriented, and skilled at supervising staff in a dynamic, 24/7 resort environment.


FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor and respond to work orders, service requests, and emergency repairs promptly and effectively.
• Utilizes available resources to accomplish daily tasks.
• Maintain shift logs, incident reports and records of maintenance performed.
• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks as needed to support team efforts or resolve critical issues.
• Takes a proactive approach in using Best Practices in the manufacture and repair of assigned projects
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the facilities team during assigned shift
• Responsible for adherence to safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Enforce and promote safety procedures and proper use of PPE in compliance with OSHA and tribal regulations.
• Responsible for completion and quality of projects assigned.
• Responsible for proper operation of equipment and associated systems
• Other duties as assigned.



ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has supervisory responsibilities that include hiring/termination, corrective actions, and Team Member relations issues. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: A high school diploma or GED is required. Must have at least two years of experience in operating and maintaining a commercial facility, plus three years of supervisory experience. Equivalent education and experience will also be considered.


COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization is required as well. Strong documentation and reporting skills to maintain accurate logs and relay shift reports.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: The position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The position also requires the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABILITY: The position requires the ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The position also requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license.
• Valid California Driver’s License.


SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of and ability to use specific tools in the Maintenance Department.
• Knowledge of safety codes, environmental regulations, and emergency procedures.
• Ability to communicate with all Team Members and management personnel.
• Good organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated leadership with a focus on accountability, motivation, and customer service.
• Ability to operate and repair or have repaired equipment and systems within their department.
• Ability to work under stressful situations.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and lead teams in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.

• Must be capable of managing multiple task at the same time.
• Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful.
• Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast paced and culturally diverse casino environment.
• Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.
• Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
