Golf Starter
GENERAL SUMMARY
The golf starter is responsible for the safe and timely dispatching of all players on the golf course. FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to guest service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Dispatch golfers on the 1st or 10th tee. • Obtain printed names and signatures for all players on the cart liability form. • Provide a golf presentation to all guests including course daily information, rules, yardage, and five (5) sets of tees. • Monitor the flow of traffic on the golf course, holes 9 to 10, and at Ala Carte. • Resolve guest’s disputes, issues, and slow play. • Provide guest with additional water bottles, sand bottles, and tees and remove the trash at the turn near Ala Carte. • Communicate, enforce, and ensure guests are following course rules. • Exhibit excellent guest relations, being visible to the guest. • Submit daily guest cart liability forms. • Shuttle guests to and from practice facilities on tournament days. • Fulfill all Putting Green duties. • Other duties as assigned. ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position is responsible for protecting the assets of Pechanga Resort Casino and for maintaining and providing a positive and professional work environment. ________________________________________ QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES ________________________________________ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three (3) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other Team Members of the Company. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, and ability to multiply and divide by 10 and 100. Ability to perform these operations using units of U.S. currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to use reasoning and understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems while remaining flexible and adaptable to help ensure the desired outcome. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a valid CA Drivers’ License. SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Ability to read and translate information from Front Tee and Informer. • Ability to provide instruction to guests on the GPS system. • Basic Golf Knowledge. • The Golf Starter is also required to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the Player Assistant position. • Must have excellent people and communication skills. • Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful. • Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast-paced and culturally diverse environment. • Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks. • Must demonstrate excellent guest service. • Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
