Coveside Grill Barback FT/PT
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Coveside Grill Barback is responsible for providing essential support to the bar team, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service. The Coveside Grill Barback restocks supplies, maintains cleanliness, and ensures a well-organized and efficient bar environment. FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Stock ice, glassware, and all other bar related items. • Maintain cleanliness of bar countertop and entire designated bar area. • Rotate and stock bar on request or as needed. • Have the knowledge of all drink pricing, alcohol types and brands, and cocktail recipes. • Empty trash cans and recyclables as needed. • Transport supplies to the beverage areas as needed. • Pick up trash in and around beverage areas. • Utilize radio to relay key information to other Team Members. • Aid and assist Bartenders and Bar Porters will all responsibilities as needed. • Demonstrate proper knowledge of and abide by all liquor laws and policies set forth by ABC and PRC. • Maintain all health and sanitation guidelines and proper rotation of all perishable items. • Adhere to cash handling and operating policies in accordance to PRC guidelines. • Other duties as assigned. ACCOUNTABILITY: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC. ________________________________________ QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES ________________________________________ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must possess strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with the bar team and provide seamless service to guests. Ability to actively listen to instructions and communicate efficiently with Bartenders and other staff members, including management, to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, company policies, guidelines, regulations, and memos. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license. • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certificate. • Must qualify to obtain and maintain the California ABC RBS Certification. SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Excellent verbal communication skills, allowing for clear and effective communication with both the bar team, management, and guests. • Strong interpersonal and guest service skills, fostering positive interactions and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally demanding environment, staying calm under pressure and maintaining attention to detail. • Flexibility and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support the bar's operational needs. • Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks such as lifting heavy kegs, moving supplies, and standing for extended periods, as well as any other physical demands outlined in the physical requirements for the position.
