GENERAL SUMMARY
The Tribal intern, under the guidance of Tribal Programs/Special Projects Manager, may rotate through a variety of positions to experience and gain skills and knowledge pertaining to Pechanga gaming, hospitality, and/or including administration and management. A minimum of 12 weeks will be included in each area to incorporate learning tasks and activities of practical real-world work experience, aligned with the Tribal Intern’s education and previous experience to prepare them for their professional career in the future. Upon completion of a full 12 months of internship, a Tribal Intern becomes eligible to pursue a Tribal Apprenticeship in the area of their career choice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform tasks and assignments in accordance with the rotation schedule, and standards set forth by the department, and through the applicable policies and procedures.
• Job shadow with other team members and/or management. Participate in Tribal Program Orientation
• Participate in training to gain technical, knowledge, skills, and compliance related learning objectives, necessary to successfully fulfill the position’s requirements.
• Participate in functions to enhance Pechanga tribal programs, including visits to other tribal gaming enterprises, conferences, webinars, etc.
• Ability to use discretion when handling sensitive/confidential information, and interact with Team Members, management and guests in a professional manner.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) – If you do not currently meet this requirement, please contact us for assistance.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must be eligible to obtain a Gaming License A
• Department specific (based on assignment) may include but not limited to: Food Safety, HAZCOM, Title 31, Responsible Beverage Services, Responsible Gaming

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be an Enrolled Member of the Pechanga Band of Mission Indians
• Must be at least 18 years of age (in limited areas), 21 years of age in areas of gaming, beverage service and cash handling
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
