Auto Detailer Supervisor

General Summary:
Pechanga Auto Detail Shop is part of the Pechanga Gas Station and Mini Mart. The Supervisor is
responsible for managing, overseeing, identifying problems, analyzing data and propose solutions and
assist with tasks when needed and may assist Gas Station duties (operational and administrative) while
providing excellent service and support seven days a week. The Supervisor will establish and maintain
cooperative and effective working relationships with team members. This position requires the individual
to have great attendance and be flexible to work all shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily
• Opens the shop and count the register till.
• Verifies sales transactions from the previous day.
• Checks voicemails and emails for customer appointments
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of the property at all times (inside and outside the Detail
shop, the pump islands, car wash area, propane station, landscaping, driveways, back patio,
parking lot, register area, and breakroom).
• Adheres to Company Policies and Procedures.
Consistent with federal law, it is the policy of Pechanga Gas Station to give preference in hiring, promotions, and
transfers into vacant positions to qualified Pechanga tribal members, Pechanga tribal member spouses, and nonmember American Indians.
Duties and Responsibilities (con’t):
Daily
• Accountable for the use and care of controlled property equipment (keys and radios).
• Carries out the daily operations of the Detail shop.
• Performs transactions on POS system.
• Troubleshoots detail equipment when issues arise.
• Perform pre- and post- service inspections: Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as
dents, scratches, torn upholstery, loose parts and poor mechanical operation prior to service
and inspects vehicle’s detail service after completion.
• Immediately report any suspicious activity including counterfeit currency, potential theft and
safety or emergency concerns to management if/when they occur.
• Reports detail financials (monthly) and customer scheduling to Gas Station Manager
• Keeps accurate records of vehicle’s condition
• Acknowledge every customer with exceptional and courteous customer service.
Inventory
• Becomes familiar with vendors and purchasing functions.
• Monitor inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Prepare, order, and coordinate with vendors to submit for replenishment of inventory. Upon
arrival verify, review, edit, adjust, and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Check in supply vendors and ensure all deliveries are properly received, counted and checked for
quality.
Managing, Coaching
• Supervise organization and cleanliness of the property at all times (inside and outside, the pump
islands, mini mart, car wash area, propane station, landscaping, driveways, back patio, parking
lot, floors, shelves, coolers, storage areas, register area, breakroom).
• Establishes and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with team members.
• Assists store manager to conduct performance reviews, team member notices and corrective
actions.
• Responds and provide solutions to customer and team member concerns.
• Writes and submits incident report (customer and team member) as needed.
• Submits team member schedules to Gas Station Manager
• Conducts new hire interviews
• Performs additional duties as assigned by Manager.
Assist when needed
• Operates buffers, steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service
expectations.
• Cleans, washes, and dries interiors and exteriors by hand or with light machinery or tools
• Shampoos and deodorizes carpets, conditions leather, buffs and waxes exteriors.
• Uses cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of
vehicles.
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.

Assist when needed (con’t):
• Cleans engine and engine bay compartment.
• Operates all tools in a safe manner
• Moves and parks vehicles
• Responds to client inquiries and respond quickly with excellent service.
• Assist Gas Station with dispensing propane and monitoring car wash operations
• Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Minimum of three (3) years detailing or related experience required.
• Experience with managing team members and great interpersonal and organization skills.
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Must have valid driver’s license with no restrictions and must be able to operate manual and
automatic transmission vehicles.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• Point-of-service and inventory management software experience is a plus.
