Facilities Shift Lead
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Facilities Shift Lead will be responsible for managing all maintenance engineers and technicians on their respective shift in the absence of the Shift Supervisor. This includes but not be limited to, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of down equipment. FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to guest service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for supervising and coordinating staff assigned to the repair of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E). • Utilize available resources to accomplish daily tasks. • In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, oversee the ordering of materials and equipment. • Demonstrate a proactive approach in using best practices in the manufacture and repair of assigned projects. • Responsible for adherence to safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. • Responsible for the completion and quality of projects assigned. • Responsible for the proper maintenance and operation of the equipment and all associated systems. • Other duties as assigned. ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has supervisory responsibilities that include corrective actions, Team Member relation issues, and budgeting. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC. QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Two (2) years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of a commercial facility; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) years of supervisory experience is required. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the Company. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license. • Valid California Driver’s License. SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Knowledge of and ability to use all Shop specific tools. • Ability to communicate with all Team Members and management. • Good organization and communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to operate and repair equipment and systems within their department. • Must remain calm in stressful situations. • Must be capable of managing multiple tasks at the same time. • Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful. • Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast-paced and culturally diverse casino environment. • Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks. • Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
