Maintenance Kitchen Engineer II

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Maintenance Kitchen Engineer II is responsible for Preventative and Corrective Maintenance on all kitchen equipment on an assigned shift throughout the resort in accordance with the standards of Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Completes preventative and corrective maintenance on all kitchen and food outlet equipment and systems such as ovens, stoves, steam kettles, fryers, dishwashers, glass washers, and food preparation equipment.
• Performs maintenance, operation, and repair of Automated Kitchen Exhaust hoods.
• Performs maintenance and/or testing on Fire Suppression systems primarily Ansul Systems.
• Performs electrical and mechanical repair of all equipment.
• Experienced in the use of Steam in Kitchen equipment.
• Acts as a resource in specifying new Kitchen Equipment as well as any issues with existing equipment.
• Maintains an extensive spare parts inventory and equipment needed for the efficient performance of assigned jobs.
• Has a working knowledge of plumbing standards and codes that apply to casino resort kitchen systems.
• Meets with the Maintenance Engineer/Kitchen Supervisor on a regular basis to ensure integrity of existing kitchen systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a resource to other Maintenance Kitchen Engineers. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; seven (7) years’ experience in electrical and appliance repair required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: The position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization is required as well.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: The position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: The position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license.
• Valid California Driver’s License.

• Good organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work under stressful situations.
• Must be qualified to work with gas and steam.
• Must be able to work with all trades within the Facilities Division.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful.
• Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast paced and culturally diverse casino environment.
• Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.
• Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
