Golf Player Assistant

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Golf Player Assistant is responsible for the safe and timely pace of play of all players on the golf course. The Golf Player Assistant will monitor and control the pace of play while enforcing posted rules of the golf course; therefore, eliminate any interruptions to normal scheduled tee time reservations.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor the “joining-up” of players on the golf course, which disrupts the play of other guest.
• Monitor and control the “pace of play.”
• Help with any possible interruptions to normal scheduled tee time reservations.
• Monitor golfers on the 1st tee or 10th tee when instructed to by Journey Management.
• Resolve guest’s disputes issues and slow play.
• Provide guest with additional water bottles, sand bottles when needed.
• Communicate, enforce and ensure guests are following course rules.
• Customer relations; being visible to the guest.
• Shuttling guests to and from practice facilities on tournament days.
• Other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION:
• A High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Three to six months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Furthermore, this position also requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: N/A
REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Possess and maintain a valid driving license with an acceptable driving record as defined by the Tribe’s insurance carrier.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Computer Skills
• Ability to read and translate information from Front Tee.
• Ability to provide instruction to guest on the GPS system

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Basic Golf Knowledge
• May also be required to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the Starter position.
