DPS Locksmith

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Locksmith will assist in maintaining all facility locks, doors, key control, and card access systems to protect the assets and Team Members of Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by PRC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Installs locking system (e.g., doors, door hardware, closures, panic hardware, card readers, electrified
hardware, panic buttons, various hardware manufactures, security bolts, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining facilities in a safe, comfortable and operating condition.
• Consisting of preparing the Door and Frames to accept the appropriate Electrified Hardware and Access Control Cabling.
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical & electronic locking systems.
• Conducts test to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.
• Perform programming to multiple access controls system software’s and be able to overcome obstacles. (Programming includes the following; creating doors, assigning access groups, triggers, horns, panic buttons, creating panels, assigning IP addresses to controller cards and net link boards, email alerts, and dual access locations.)
• Installation of all wire runs from Access Control Panel to each location using correct pathways and to ensure that all building codes are followed.
• Cuts new or duplicate keys (e.g., building and vehicle keys, file cabinets, desks, cabinets, lost or stolen
locks/keys, etc.).
• Repairs various items, systems and/or components (e.g., locks, worn tumblers, shortens tumblers, springs, changes combinations, exist hardware, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that items are available and in safe working condition.
• Re-keys locks and changes combinations for the purpose of ensuring security of facilities.
• Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
• Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing necessary information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulations.
• Must be available to be on call and respond to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Attend all training offered through suppliers and vendors as it relates to locksmith duties and products.
• Installing Morse Watchman key watchers and the correct cabling for Key Watcher control systems
• Programming of Morse Watchman Key Watcher systems
• Repairing and maintaining all key watchers on property
• Complete knowledge of Saflok/Dormakaba Hotel room lock system.
• Retro fitting of door hardware to Saflok/Dormakaba applications.
• Complete knowledge of Saflok/Dormakaba reporting capabilities. Working with all departments to report and supply applicable logging records to PRC public safety and applicable departments.

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least 10 years’ experience is required to successfully perform this job.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to work with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license.
• CA Drivers License.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Efficient in reading and writing English.
• Knowledge of industry state of the art concepts and hardware.
• Knowledge and experience with all related hand and machine tools.
• Fluent in Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Must be capable of interacting with the general public in a highly professional manner.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful.
• Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast paced and culturally diverse casino environment.
