Job Summary

Under the direction of the Loss Prevention Regional Manager and, the General Manager, the Market Loss Prevention Manager’s responsibilities include preventing and detecting theft of company property and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. The Market Loss Prevention Manager is also responsible for store safety according to established company policy and procedure.

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduate, preferably criminal justice education, and one year of loss prevention or security experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

A. Reports accidents, safety violations and hazards to appropriate management
B. Monitors to ensure emergency lighting is operational.
C. Monitors to ensures fire exits are always clear of debris.
D. Monitors to ensures fire extinguishers meet fire marshal regulations.
E. Monitors and/or assists in completion of Maintenance & Safety Inspection Check list and ensures deficiencies are corrected.

Promptly forwards all outside correspondence regarding customer accidents, shoplifter arrests, and employee theft arrests to Loss Prevention
Regional Managers.

Forwards paperwork to Loss Prevention Manager and Loss Prevention Regional Manager including:
A. Work schedule
B. Shoplifting case reports
C. Internal case reports
D. Customer and employee accident case reports
E. Responses required by Loss Prevention Regional Manager to include:
deposit variances, late deposits, line voids, refunds, excessive discounts.
F. Conducts store LP Reviews at the LP Regional Manager’s direction.
G. Surveillance's

Coordinates loss prevention responsibilities with store management and Loss Prevention Specialists.
Works with Loss Prevention Regional Manager, Senior Market LP Manager, Loss Prevention Specialist and General Manager to plan
work schedules that result in Loss Prevention Specialists are being scheduled during high traffic times.

Reports to Loss Prevention Regional Manager.
A. Consults Loss Prevention Regional Manager for approval of work schedule, vacation, sick time, and all other scheduled time off.
B. Reports absences and schedule changes to LP Regional Manager.
C. Submits business expense report to Loss Prevention Regional Manager for
approval in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsible For Loss Prevention Specialist

A. Recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating and disciplining,
B. Approving time off, paperwork or forms generated by or for LP Specialists.

Responsible for following store policies and procedures and supervisor’s direction.
