Video Communications Assistant

• Works in collaboration with other employees and production staff to produce a variety of video products for internal company communications
• Performs video post-production tasks which include reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, tape logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing using Non-Linear Editing Software
• Exports video projects for output
• Makes video products available in a variety of formats
• Moves, sets up and adjusts studio equipment including fixed and portable lights, tripods, and microphones; provides limited troubleshooting of video, audio and lighting equipment
• Works with other technical and non-technical staff to organize and implement videotaping of instructional or other educational related projects
• Creatively plan and translate abstract concepts into effective visual form
• Adapt video products to fit needs of clients and target audience
• Optimize work flow techniques to manage complex video projects effectively and efficiently
• Troubleshoot video product complications
• Coordinates internal and external duplication services as required
• Attend meetings and schedule shoots

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years of professional video production
• Proficient knowledge of video production equipment & Non-Linear Editing Software
• Skill and ability to operate and maintain a variety of digital video camera and video editing equipment
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (a plus)
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups
• Must research and remain current on the developments and applications of state of the art video production technology
