Job Description:
Manage Maintenance direct reports and contractors in maintaining the refinery operations. Planning, budgeting and executing upkeep of all refinery equipment. Focus on executing responsibilities safely, timely and within approved budgetary constraints.
Major Responsibilities: List in order of importance major responsibilities of the job.
-Safety for reports- Provide proper training, support and tools to perform their duties
-Environmental awareness and directive to reports in executing their duties
-Maintain equipment to minimize operational down time
-Manage all Delek maintenance craft supervisors-(I&E, Mechanics, Pipefitters and welders,Boilermakers, planner, clerk and superintendent
-Manage all maintenance contract personnel
-Help develop and manage the assigned operational expense budget.
-Manage the maintenance management system(presently Tab Ware)
-Manage the Delek owned spare parts inventory
-Manage the planning and execution of planned and unplanned unit turnarounds
-Manage field installation of assigned projects
-Assist is developing and complying with union contract and serve on management committee
-Initiate and maintain maintenance service contracts
-Bid out and justify labor and material needs as required
-Support safety, environmental, operations and engineering needs
-Must have the ability to safely evacuate in the event of emergency without assistance
-Other duties as assigned
Travel requirements - About 15 overnight stays per year. Handle hazardous materials : periodic
Knowledge and Skills: Education requirements, Experience, Special skills, specialized training, etc.
-College graduate preferred (engineering / business)
-Minimum of 10 years maintenance experience petrochemical
-Supervisory experience
-Business computer experience
-Turnaround planning and execution experience
-Project management experience
-Experience in fixed, rotating, and I&E equipment
-Inspection, repair methods and basic metallurgical principles
-Experienced in Reliability based maintenance.
-Experienced in planned vs. reactive maintenance.
