General Summary
Provides employee relations support and other human resources services to Quality Control Center and Restaurants. Monitors workplace environment to minimize employee relations issues and conflicts; provide guidance, direction and coaching and/or counseling for employee and management regarding HR issues; handling workplace investigations; researching and preparing responses to regulatory agency requests and charges; managing employee relations records and files for the company and working with legal counsel to resolve outstanding employee relations matter.

Duties & Responsibilities
1.Supports operations with all employee relations matters, including: performance appraisals, counseling, disciplinary actions, employee conduct issues, and creating, implementing, and enforcing personnel policies.
2.Responds to workplace complaints and conducts internal investigations. Recommends appropriate action and/or follow-up.
3.Supports other business partners, including the Recruiting/Retention Department, Training Department, Legal Department, and the Total Rewards Department, with the facilitation of programs, trainings, orientations, and other business initiatives.
4.Supports Culinary Directors, Restaurant Directors, and VPs with manpower forecasts, development plans, and succession planning.
5.Conducts ongoing formal and informal HR training on matters such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
6.Partners with Total Rewards regarding Leave of Absences and FMLA.
7.Maintain current knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including: Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines and laws, Federal Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Title VII.
8.Interprets policies and recommends procedures for implementing policies to ensure compliance.
9.Assembles and reviews records, personnel files, reports and other documentation in connection with requests, the Company’s grievance, disciplinary and performance actions.
10.Conducts exit interviews for Corporate and upper management field positions, as needed.
11.Develops, mentors, and supervises the Human Resources Representative.

•Must have general understanding and working knowledge of various federal and state laws and regulations including, without limitation: Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Pay Act, Federal Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 etc.

Minimum Education & Training
•B.S. in Human Resources or related discipline or equivalent experience.
•Experience in Hospitality/Retail is a must.
•Minimum of 5 - 8 years progressive Generalist experience or combined specialist experience in employee relations, staffing or training.
•Experienced in conducting internal complaint investigations and preparing legal responses, where necessary.
•Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills.
•Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures.
•Must be able to quickly assimilate technical information and build solutions to the optimal balance of meeting business needs, beating competitors, and operating within financial resource constraints.

Environmental Working Conditions
•Work in performed primarily in the restaurants and, on occasion, in the corporate office operated by the Company.
•Transportation required.
•Travel – including some overnight travel – is required as needed.
