Position Overview
Responsible for TMX accounting and reporting, including certain month-end close activities, forecasting, budgeting and analysis.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage the reporting and analysis of BU financial statements for both internal and external reporting (actual, forecast and plan).
• Prepare monthly revenue recognition entries and other entries to ensure appropriate recognition of expenses.
• Partner with leadership and department on analysis of financial statements and accounting impacts of business changes.
• Develop consistent forecasting models for income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Drive automation through adaptation of new tools and processes to increase group productivity.
• Manage the month-end close process in an accurate and timely manner.
• Manage the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with the creation of presentations for the Board of Directors or stakeholders.
• Make recommendations, direct development and implementation of new or existing policies or procedures.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7 – 10 years of relevant experience in accounting and reporting.
• MBA, CPA or other financial credential required.
• Demonstrated experience with varied financial reporting, planning and analysis.
• Ability to successfully interface with leadership regarding financial statement analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks, meeting business needs and deadlines.
• Problem solving and decision making skills.
