General Job Description Purpose:
The purpose of this job description is to communicate the responsibilities and duties associated with the position of Recruiter. It should also be noted that some responsibilities and duties might not be specifically addressed.
General Position Summary:
The Recruiter is responsible for meeting all hiring objectives at First Communities. The Recruiter will manage the recruiting pipeline by effectively sourcing, selecting qualified candidates and guiding hiring managers through an effective hiring process.
Essential Duties:
- Recruit outstanding team members across the United States.
- Manage the applicant tracking system and ensure an effective and timely recruiting process.
- Maintain a working knowledge of recruiting sources in our communities throughout the United States. Recommend effective sourcing strategies for each position.
- Establish appropriate screening questions. Schedule and conduct phone screen interviews, vetting for culture, personality, compensation requirements, fundamental technical skills, and targeted competencies.
- Provide value-added customer service to hiring managers and top candidates throughout the recruiting cycle.
- Assist hiring managers with reference checks as needed.
- Recommend and negotiate total reward packages.
- Ensure a smooth transition from candidate status to new hire onboarding.
- Train hiring managers on the applicant tracking system and monitor progress daily.
- Create Hiring Manager Interview Guides and coach hiring managers to use legally compliant and highly effective interview skills.
- Be a subject matter expert in leveraging LinkedIn, Facebook, Gravity, Indeed and other social media strategies to identify active and passive candidates.
- Prepare weekly reports with recruiting metrics, project status and recommendations.
- Attend industry and university events and promote job opportunities at First Communities. Share promotional ideas with Property Managers and encourage their participation at events in their communities.
- Work with placement firms for temporary hiring needs as required.
- Build relationships with industry and educational professionals to develop additional sourcing strategies.
- Complies with First Communities’ policies and performance expectations.
Education, Knowledge, Skills
- Minimum of 2 years recruiting or industry experience in a high-volume environment
- Ability to develop relationships with candidates and hiring managers through excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to deliverables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills providing for effective communication with employees, peers, vendors, clients and supervisors
- Computer software experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
- Valid Drivers License is required
- Ideally Bi-Lingual
Work Environment/Requirements:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and filing cabinets. Incumbents also may have exposure to outside elements, inclusive of project sites, where temperature, weather, odors, and/or landscape may be unpleasant and/or hazardous.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, type, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is intermittently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and climb, stoop, or squat.
Recruiters must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty (20) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Infrequent, non-local travel may be required to attend training, meetings, visit sites, or other situations required to meet company expectations.
