JOB DESCRIPTION ASSET PROTECTION OFFICER

SUMMARY

Report to Community Managers and National  Asset Protection Managers(NAPM) violations of federal, state, local polices and safety issues, investigating criminal issues and solving problems related to security. Develop and maintain a strong liaison with local authorities in your jurisdiction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must fully understand and implement all aspects of the community policy and be able to enforce community rules and regulations, as well as local, state, and federal laws fairly and impartially, ensuring you are not violating Fair Housing.
  • Report all emergencies to immediately to the Community Manager and NAPM, and provide an incident report within 24hrs of the incident.
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills to all residents, potential residents, and their guest
  • Maintain high visibility to ensure and deter unacceptable activities in the community.
  • Generate a well written and descriptive report to account for all activities during the duration of your patrol.
  • Must be able to respond to medical, criminal, and disaster incident and determine and direct immediate response action.
  • Develop and maintain a strong liaison with local, county, and state police agencies.
  • Conduct a monthly light out inspection of all the lights in the communities common areas.
  • Check all vacant apartments to make sure that they are secured with all windows and doors are locked and intact.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

An applicant for this position should have had a successful track record as a law enforcement professional or have military experience, preferably in the military police or intelligence and/or security area. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of other required qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • Must have your own reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to work any days.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish)

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School or equivalent

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to understand safety rules and procedures. Ability to mediate confrontations and make decisions based on a sound logic.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.00 - $14.50 hourly. Depends on experience.
