The Infor Consulting Services (ICS) Organization enables our customers to rapidly recognize the value of Infor Solutions in a responsible, timely and cost effective fashion by providing our customers consulting, implementation, integration, development and managed services.
Our growing Hospitality Software Consulting organization is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Application Consultant.
Summary
Reporting to the manager of the Infor Consulting Services Hospitality department, the Application Consultant Hospitality is primarily responsible for implementation, integration, education, development and managed services.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of on-site training and installation of Infor Hospitality software applications.
• Manage application setup and installation according customer definition.
• Consult customer on setup and business workflow in projects.
• Conduct standardized training courses using Infor training documentation.
• Provide on-site transitional support of software installation go-live.
• Provide feedback to customer and Infor on training participants’ progress.
• Provide timely communication of project status to customer and Infor.
• Prepare and complete all project related paperwork as defined by Infor.
• Adhere to project schedule including flights, training, meetings, conference calls, etc.
• Assist in creating and updating installation and training documentation.
• Maintain superior product knowledge and complete product competency certification.
Work Environment
• Remote projects from Infor office and national and international customer projects which require travel.
• Client facing role representing Infor commitment to training and product support
• Works within and promotes a strong team environment to ensure successful software installation projects.
• Collaborates with software development, product management, professional services and support personnel to ensure quality product and service delivery
Knowledge, Skills and Experience (E= Essential, D= Desirable)
• Undergraduate degree in Hotel Operations, Business, or equivalent work experience (E)
• Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in hotel operations, preferably in management (E)
• Excellent presentation, communication, written, and interpersonal skills. (E)
• Demonstrate the ability to perform independently on customer and non-customer projects. (E)
• Software application training experience a plus. (D)
• Articulating the value of consulting services (E)
• PMS and POS experience (E)
• Preferable Infor Starlight PMS and Infor HMS experience (D)
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and planning skills (E)
• Excellent English and German language skills (E)
• MS-Office suite and various other software applications used as required (D)
• Experience with Windows OS, and Microsoft SQL highly desirable
• Ability to map out an opportunity close plan that incorporates all involved resources
