• O/S management in the hosting environment including both routine updates and planning and management of
longer-term infrastructure upgrades
• Software management (updates and configuration; scripting & automation) of a multi-tier live hosting
infrastructure
• Routine system administration tasks such as user and service management, permissions, log analysis and
other relevant activities
• Assisting with the deployment and maintenance of cloud systems, applications and services
• Performs on request database statements and re-organizations and assist to ensure maximum uptime of the
databases
• Action and monitor of all incidents related to hosting in relation to compliance with processes and SLAs
Skillset
• A good knowledge of the Windows operating system(s) incl. Terminal server (Citrix)
• Knowledge of Linux operating system(s) would be helpful
• Experience with technical implementation and operation of enterprise class cloud-based systems
• Knowledge of rational database management system (SQL and Progress)
• Knowledge of Application server(s) (Apache, Tomcat, JBoss) would be helpful
• Ability to perform operating system performance monitoring and the necessary adjustments
• 5+ years of experience
• ITIL Certification helpful
