Service Technician*:performs various maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community.Handles repairs and improvements of vacant apartments for a market ready status.
Works as a team member to ensure the community meets the quality maintenance standards set by management.
Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities:
Successful candidates must have at least one years' experience as service professional at an apartment community (or other resident-inhabited, multi-unit properties) or recent educational credentials and/or certifications regarding the following requirements: HVAC (Type I and II or EPA Universal) systems, appliances, water heaters, electrical systems, drywall, floor coverings, carpentry, locks, painting, pools, plumbing, roofs, life safety equipment, etc.
Basic computer knowledge, good communication skills (both verbal and written) must have reliable transportation, tools and be available after hours and on weekends in rotation for on-call emergencies
The ability to speak and read more than one language a plus
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
Possess ability to comprehend and adhere to OSHA standards at all times
High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license required
*Service Technicians may be categorized and/or designated at three different levels: Service Technician I, II and III. A candidate’s Level designation will be determined by professional industry experience and/or demonstrated ability and certifications and/or educational credentials as well as the duties of the role. Compensation will be commiserate with level designation. Level categories/designations coincide with industry standard positions such as Punch, Make Ready and Lead Technician.
